  Colorize!!!

Continuing from Colors, Colours, Colurs, I have added a couple scripts to the site.

colorize.php and uncolorize.php

colorize.php takes the parameters:
clr_head
clr_subhead
clr_content
clr_txt_head
clr_txt_subhead
clr_txt_content
clr_txt_links

set these parameters to the color hex codes of your choosing to colorize the site.

e.g.
http://www.supertacogames.com/colorize.php?clr_head=123456&clr_subhead=234567&clr_content=345678

use uncolorize.php to reset to the default sites colors.
http://www.supertacogames.com/uncolorize.php

this will allow you to better see how the colors will look like on the site when creating a palette.

so put up some more color palettes for the site!

note: since these scripts arent integrated into the site yet, they are only meant for developer purposes. colorize.php sets a few cookies, and uncolorize.php removes them.

Messing about with the color palette for the site.

here are some web color tools im using.

http://www.colourlovers.com/palettes/add
http://html-color-codes.info/

any suggestions? i like the softer duller color pallets, as opposed to brighter or bolder colors. nothing neon or harsh colors. chalky looks good.

throw up some color hex codes for panel headers, subheaders, and content areas. (panel header is the header to any floating panels on the site, panel subheaders are like where author/post date information goes, and panel content is where any content goes. like this news post :P)

Test of my platform engine running in Hardware Acceleration mode. As you can see it runs pretty well even with tons of entities using the platform engine at any given moment.

Without HWA it can handle about 1/3 of the entities in that screenshot.

In flash it can handle about 1/6.

And on my netbook it can handle 12 entities. Not that good but if properly utilized you should never really need that many entities at a given moment anyways.

A great source for indie games related news and updates. I've been watching the pixelprospector/indev since it launched. Great place to get your in-development games get noticed.

Needs more tacos though. Ill get on it!
